Customer reviewsRated 5 out of 5 by Rick J from Common Sense is the trick to assemble this cabinet Just bought these cabs and I must say, at first, I was overwhelmed with the directions and how to put them together. Chinese translation to English is never easy and it seems very redundant at times. For example, NO NUT is required for the main bolts as they are threaded in the receiving piece. As a matter of fact, most of the screws are threaded also in the receiving piece. Trial and error was how I got through it but it wasn't that bad. I also take issue with some of the other reviews about "cheap metal" and so on. Anybody who knows anything about structure knows that the sum of all the parts constitute a firm and hardy cabinet. Once this cab is altogether it is pretty indestructible and looks great in my garage. I purchased two of them and they fit great under the Gladiator bench!Date published: 2018-10-05Rated 3 out of 5 by LouLou from Great paint finish, can't square the drawers I tried every trick in the book to get the front of the drawer to be flushed with the front of the cabinet and the bottom always sticks out further. My only complaint. The cabinet is spacious and versatile. The paint seems to be resistant to normal everyday use. For the price we paid, I was not expecting this and it should not happen.Date published: 2018-06-04Rated 4 out of 5 by lehane927 from "could" have been great had design been better 4 pegs come up out of each corner in bottom . Problem could have been avoided with a thin sheet of metal placed over entire floor, on ledges (already there) Pegs would be covered and everything would sit level on floor. I am thinking of returning, even though I like it, but to expensive to reward bad design.Date published: 2018-01-31Rated 4 out of 5 by CStanton from Design Flaw? I bought this on sale and it's a nice enough cabinet for the money, but one thing confused me. Why does the floor on this cabinet install exactly 180 degrees from how the floor panel on the 72" cabinet installed? I had purchased and assembled the 72" cabinet before getting this one and the floor on the 72" version had the flat surface facing UP and the recessed side facing down (where the feet screw in). On this 31" cabinet, the floor must be install the other way around due to hoe the holes are positioned that fix the side panels to the bottom panel, with the flat surface of the panel facing down and the inside (floor) being recessed. This was very confusing as I had naturally expected consistency between the two cabinets. Is this just a design flaw or did I just get a defective unit? I'm attaching two pictures, one of each cabinet floor, so you can see the difference. It would make MUCH more sense for the flat surface to face UP like it does on the 72" cabinet.Date published: 2018-01-02Rated 2 out of 5 by Mike from Dissappointing bottom shelf I bought the cabinet about a week ago, and during assembly noticed that mounts for the legs or casters protrude through on the bottom shelf so you do not have a completely even surface reducing the storage space, other than that not too bad of a cabinet but a bit pricey.Date published: 2017-09-04Rated 2 out of 5 by Alex J. from Was expecting better quality I was shocked at how flimsy the pieces of this unit are. When I was getting the pieced out of the box, a few of them fell just 6 inches and were damaged. This wasn't a good start to my experience. The directions to assemble the unit were poorly written (seems to be a problem with anything anymore) and the drawings were to generic for any detail. I am not an engineer, but I am also able to follow instructions and they were definitely lacking. I also own a Gladiator rack system, which I am very happy with. It is like these 2 units were made by a different company with regards to quality and sturdiness.Date published: 2017-02-13Rated 2 out of 5 by DIY in VA from You get what you pay for There is a reason these RTA cabinets are one-third the price of the Premier series. You get what you pay for. Out of 10 cabinets I ordered, two had to go back because they were so damaged INSIDE the sealed, undamaged box, there was no way they could be assembled. And two more had minor damage that I was able to get by with because the damage couldn't be seen. The metal is like tin foil. You can bend it with your fingers. Another big problem is that they are not dimensioned properly. When you take into account the protruding assembly hardware, they are close to 28-1/2" wide. And since the bolt heads are in the same place, you end up with an ugly gap between cabinets if you set them next to each other. I had 133" of width, so I ordered 3 of these plus the larger locker, which is supposed to be 48". They're all oversized, so even with 1" to spare, they won't fit. Returning them isn't an option at this point, so my plan is to drill out the holes and bolt them together. That will get rid of the gap between them and hopefully get me enough space back to install them properly. The other, albeit minor, gripe, is with the adjustable feet. They should have a way to do it from inside the cabinet, e.g. a hex key slot in the top of the bolt. Trying to adjust the rear feet from underneath is a joke. But they look good and they have that nice Gladiator badge, so two stars and I would only recommend them as an extreme low-end choice because you couldn't buy or make cabinets for less.Date published: 2016-09-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Silence is best from home office I bought this for my home office. I have bought several of the wood shelves and soon the weight makes them bend. But this metal gearbos is great for my big heavy binders and little things that are constantly used. I also think ahead, if for whatever reason, I get tired of these, they certainly will have a place in the garage.Date published: 2015-09-27Rated 5 out of 5 by nagaomom from Excellent product & customer service!!
