As children leave home for college, careers or to start new families of their own, parents are left to organize their newly empty nest. Whether grown children leave behind personal belongings or clean them out completely, these empty nesters have a unique opportunity to re-make their garage space. To help consumers realize the value of an organized garage and help families maximize space, Gladiator® GarageWorks is currently running the “Empty Nesters” phase of its “Unveil Your Garage” sweepstakes at www.gladiatorgarageworks.com.

Showcasing the various stages and challenges of garage organization during different phases of consumers’ lives, Gladiator® GarageWorks’ sweepstakes encourages people to take charge of their space and become organized. Empty nesters or consumers in any phase of life are encouraged to enter the fourth of five prize drawings.

“When children leave home, empty nesters often find their nests are far from empty. Cluttered or not, they can often identify newfound space to enjoy various interests and hobbies,” said Lou Ann Schafer, senior marketing manager, Gladiator® GarageWorks. “With just a few pieces from Gladiator® GarageWorks, empty nesters can start down the road to a completely new use for their garage space. This is the point in their lives where they can devote their time to enjoying hobbies and passions such as golfing, gardening, woodworking, restoring automobiles, or whatever excites them during this new chapter of their life.”

Consumers may enter the sweepstakes at www.gladiatorgarageworks.com to win Gladiator brand products that will help them on the path to organization. By signing up for the sweepstakes, consumers are automatically entered into three drawings including a weekly prize, a life phase prize which runs every six weeks, and a grand prize drawing in November 2009. Winners of the weekly and life phase sweepstakes win various Gladiator® GarageWorks organization products including hooks, bins, and gear boxes while the grand prize winner receives $2,000 worth of product of their choice to fit their lifestyle needs.

To increase their odds of winning, consumers can return to the Web site to register once a week. Additionally, for every referred friend who enters the sweepstakes the consumer's name will be entered again into the sweepstakes drawings.

The winner from the most recent life phase sweepstakes, Curtis Harris, father of five young men, recently became an empty nester when the last of his children left home. “With a large family our garage has always been a mess. Tools and equipment often went missing and I lost time and money replacing them,” said the North Carolina native. He added, “Now with the boys out on their own, I’m looking forward to getting rid of the junk and organizing the tools and equipment I use when pursuing my hobbies. Maybe I’ll even be able to bring the car inside now.”
